KJT - The Athlete
Best known for her excellence both on the track and in the field as a multi-eventer KJT is no stranger to success. At the tender age of 26, the two-time Olympian has an impressive athletics resume which includes her most recent victory in Doha, Qatar, which saw her crowned as the World Champion Heptathlete.
KJT burst onto the senior stage in 2012. Having won the gold medal at the World Junior Championships in Barcelona she prepared for what would be a breath-taking experience in front of an electric crowd at the London 2012 Olympics. On her Olympic debut at just 19 years old Kat, as she’s known to friends and family, racked up an impressive 6,248 points to finish in 15th place.
Preparations for her third Olympics in Tokyo in 2020 are on track and over the past 24 months KJT has added World & European Indoor, Commonwealth Games and World Championship gold medals to her collection as she has cemented her position as the world’s most impressive, and most loved, all around athlete.
Having spent the first 23 years of her life in Liverpool KJT moved to Montpellier, France, in 2016 to focus on her athletics and now trains under the guidance of Bertrand Valcin. Although based away from home her mind is never far from her family, her dogs (Bronx and Chorizo) and her beloved Liverpool Football Club. Whenever she’s back in Liverpool she prioritises those three things and gets to watch the Reds play in conjunction with her roles as a patron of the Barrie Wells Trust and an Ambassador of the LFC Foundation.
